Passionate About Inspiring Others

I am a Licensed Psycotherapist, a Counselor, a Life Coach, a Speaker, a Workshop Leader, a master and instructor of martial arts, and a Vietnam vet. One thing I have come to know from all my experiences is that many of us share similar elements on our journey.

Have you ever thought about working with a Life Coach? To answer this, you may need to first answer the question:
What is a Life coach?

The life coach:

  • Is someone professionally trained to help you maximize your full potential and reach your desired results.

  • Is like a supportive friend and a trusted adviser rolled into one.

  • Is someone who will push you to identify and achieve your goals,

  • Will hold you accountable and provide encouragement throughout your journey to become a better version of yourself.

What’s the difference between a life coach and a psychotherapist?

Psychotherapist

Psychotherapists have been trained to ask questions and can help you examine your mindset and overcome obstacles. They can provide treatment for mental health issues like depression or severe anxiety. Unlike life coaches, therapists and other mental health professionals focus on healing, treating mental health conditions, and helping people work through trauma and other issues from their past.

Life Coach

A life coach has the ability to help you gain a fresh, informed perspective on problems that you face. In addition to offering new insight into challenges, a life coach can help you to zero in on negative patterns that could be standing in the way of your success.

Many people view working with a life coach as a means of bridging the gap between current circumstances to realize the quality of life you want to live. A life coach can help you work through barriers that may interfere with finding a partner/mate, help you to identify your passion, or assist you to carve out your ideal career path.

Wouldn't it be great to work with someone who is a skilled therapist and a life coach all rolled into one?

You can.

Ed Green is a skilled licensed psychotherapist and a Life Coach. To work with Ed as a life coach you get the best of both worlds. What does this mean for you?

Therapists

  • Can treat mental health conditions

  • Promote healing

  • Have a degree and are licensed

  • Adhere to ethical codes

Life Coaches

  • Cannot treat mental health conditions

  • Do not need any formal qualifications or academic training

  • Are not required to follow health privacy laws

A therapist helps you to resolve past issues to better function in the present, while a life coach begins in the present and helps you move forward to create your future and the life you want to live. Working with a Life coach is excellent for those successfully completing psychotherapy, who want to keep the momentum going and are ready to move to the next level.

  • Identifying goals and defining a vision for success

  • Creating professional and personal growth plans

  • Identifying limiting beliefs

  • Working toward financial independence

  • Obtaining work/life balance

  • Learning to communicate more succinctly and effectively

  • Fostering more powerful connections professionally and personally

  • Enhanced creativity

  • Improved communication skills

  • More satisfying work life
